In Spanish 2R, students will develop strong, effective, and essential language skills that will allow them to communicate proficiently in everyday life. The primary focus of this course is to enhance students’ grasp of vocabulary and to provide them with opportunities to express themselves efficiently in Spanish. This course will provide students with a strong grammatical foundation of Spanish language and will reinforce the four basic skills – reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Students will engage in individual and group work activities in order to practice new vocabulary and grammar concepts in the present and past tense. Throughout the year, students will demonstrate speaking and writing proficiency and will focus on topics such as, family relationships, travel, expressing daily routines, proper restaurant etiquette, among others. In addition, students will have the opportunity to learn about different cultural traditions related to the Spanish-speaking world.
