Statistics Course Objectives
Statistics is a course in statistical procedures involving the classification and grouping of data, frequency distribution, probability, the normal curve, elementary sampling theory and point and interval estimation. This course acquaints the student with collection and analysis of quantitative data through measures of central tendency, measure of variation and probability and the role of statistics in human affairs. It is also a course where a student learns procedures of analysis of data for use in making decisions. The student will learn how to analyze data in order to draw valid conclusions and will learn how this is used in their discipline and in daily life.
