Principal of Nyack High School

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! As the principal, I want to extend my warmest greetings
to all of you and express my enthusiasm for the journey we are taking together. It is an honor to
have each and every one of you as part of our school community.

To our students, I encourage you to approach this year with a sense of wonder and curiosity.
Embrace the challenges that come your way, for they are opportunities for learning and
personal development. Remember that success is not solely measured by grades, but also by
character, resilience, and the relationships you build. Take advantage of the many resources
and opportunities available to you, and never hesitate to seek support from your teachers,
school counselors, and administrators. Get involved in athletics and co-curricular clubs and
activities. Enroll in Advance Placement, Project Lead the Way, and dual enrollment courses.
We believe in your potential, and we are here to guide and empower you every step of the way.

To the parents and guardians, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for entrusting us with your child's
education. We recognize and value the partnership between home and school, as it plays a
pivotal role in a student's success. We will do our best to provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive
environment for your child to thrive. We encourage open lines of communication and invite you
to actively participate in school activities, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences. Your
support and involvement are instrumental in fostering a vibrant and cohesive school community.

Let us collectively embrace the values of respect, empathy, and integrity. Let us celebrate our

Need to Know

  • New York State Requirement:  For students in Grade 12, two doses of the Meningitis vaccine are required, unless the 1st dose of meningococcal vaccine was received at age 16 or older, then only one dose is required.
  • Instructions for students to join a class or group in e-chalk: Student Instructions-Joining a Class
  • Senior Open Campus Opt-In Permission Letter Form: 12th grade students may be eligible to walk off campus during lunch, have a late arrival or early departure when they have a cafe option period. The  Senior Open Campus Opt-In Permission Letter Form is provided to allow this privilege and must be signed, in accordance with the Board of Education Policy 5181 and the parent/guardian permission slip.
  • Parent Portal Request Form: The District provides access to student information. The Parent Portal Request Form is provided for parents/guardians to establish a Parent Portal account and be informed regarding student's grades and attendance.
  • Download the Infinite Campus App to your Smartphone: The School ID is KBRPST.
