Mathematics

The Mathematics Department offers courses to prepare students attending college or immediately entering the world of work upon graduation. The course levels offered attempt to meet the varying needs of all students. A minimum of three (3) years of mathematics is required for all students to graduate.

Students must understand mathematics and be able to communicate and reason mathematically. Students are strongly encouraged to study a 4th year of high school mathematics to enter society as informed, productive citizens.
Students will be given locally developed final exams or district assessments in each math course that does not end in a Regents exam.
NOTE: In order to graduate from high school, all students must:

(a) successfully complete 3 years of high school mathematics AND
(b) pass the Algebra Regents
